The United Way of South Hampton Roads has partnered with the South Hampton Roads Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition to raise awareness about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
The EITC is a special federal credit for low to moderate income workers. The extra money on their tax return gives hardworking people the opportunity to save for the future.
To help people connect with the EITC Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Sites (VITA Sites) will open January 29th to provide FREE tax preparation services to those who qualify for the EITC.
