Recently, hundreds of our neighbors woke to find their homes destroyed. The best way to help them is with monetary contributions to relief organizations so that they can purchase the items they need. Cover the Uninsured: Understand the Issues
Community Impact

Nearly one in six people in the United States lacked insurance for all of 2006. The uninsured are less likely to recieve appropriate medical care including routine checkups, trauma due to auto crashes, and  hospitalization.

Health Care costs are likely to be a major issue in the comming elections:

"A poll conducted by the Pew Research Center for People and the Press in January 2008 found that 69 percent of respondents felt reducing health care costs should be a top priority for the president and Congress, while 54 percent believed that providing insurance to the uninsured is a top priority" -Healthcare Coverage in America

Cover the Uninsured Week is April 27 through May 3, 2008, so now is the time to  learn the facts about the issue yourself.
