"Stone Soup" WLC Family Volunteer Project
This past Saturday at the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center, members of the Women's Leadership Council and their families came together in the spirit of Stone Soup to prepare meals for several United Way agencies.
We had a wonderful turnout of 75 participants that included women and their families!
Together, we prepared nearly 100 assorted casseroles and over 200 dry soup and hot chocolate mixes to feed five local shelters: P.A.R.C., Samaritan House, Seton Youth Shelters, The Dwelling Place and the YWCA.
Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in feeding South Hampton Roads' hungry.
A special thank you to Joan Brock and the WLC Volunteer Project Council: Ashley Dorroh, Megan Christopher, Susan Everett, and Renee Wampler. We couldn't have done it with out you!
