Leadership Giving
Leadership Givers build the foundation of the annual campaign. Their loyal contributions of $500 or more each year show their commitment to South Hampton Roads and inspire others to give. They are invited to participate in our leadership societies.
African American Leadership Society (AALS)
Still in its exciting early stages, this initiative will serve as a forum to celebrate, recognize, and align African American Leadership Givers.
Women's Leadership Council
Mobilizes the women of South Hampton Roads to become powerful philanthropists through leadership, fundraising, and advocacy. The Initiative manages the only local Endowment managed by women for the benefit of women and their families in South Hampton Roads.
Young Leaders Society
Members benefit through an array of exciting networking opportunities including professional development seminiars, CEO Luncheons and other fun events.
Tocqueville Society
United Way of South Hampton Roads Tocqueville Society honors more than 160 individuals who serve our community through their extraordinary generosity. Members give at the $10,000 level or greater.

A gift at a leadership level qualifies you for membership in a Leadership Initiative. Members of Leadership Intitiatives enjoy connecting with other United Way contributors to have a more hands on experience with their donation.
